CTC’s Crew Training Centre
at Hamilton International Airport in New Zealand provides
training facilities and accommodation for up to
180 trainee pilots annually. The centre is based on a prime 1.8 hectare site
adjacent to the airport’s main runway. The 19,000
sg ft purpose-built training centre includes 10 briefing
rooms, three large lecture rooms, crew room, two simulator
cells, planning and operations facilities, management
and administration offices. On-site aircraft maintenance
facilities support CTC’s fleet of 30 Seminole,
Diamond and Alpha aircraft.
With Bournemouth, the Hamilton centre provides ab initio
training for cadets and iCP trainees on the CTC Wings programme.
Trainee pilots spend some nine months in New Zealand, returning to the
UK for examinations.

The CTC Wings CPP - Commercial Pilot Programme trains New Zealand pilots through an arrangement with
the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology. Details

recently expanded its facilities to include additional
flight simulators, more ramp space for aircraft parking
and Clearways - a purpose-built trainee accommodation
complex close to its training centre.
The Crew Training Centre also provides facilities for up to
30 instructors with the CTC Wings SIP - Sponsored
Instructor Programme in the Instructor Training Centre. Here,
a team of experienced and senior CTC instructors provide
a two year professional development programme that results
in an A-category instructor rating.
