Our Board members between them have greater than 250 combined years in the aviation industry with the majority of the team qualified as either current or former flight crew with significant experience gained from training management roles. Our Heads of Departments are similarly experts in their field, leading teams of some of the most talented, respected and customer-focussed staff in our industry.
Rob joined CTC Aviation from easyJet in 2003 after having been with the airline from its start-up. CTC Aviation benefits greatly from his strong commercial understanding, experience as a training captain / examiner, alongside his enthusiasm for expanding the group’s business interests through innovation and partnership.

Anthony joined CTC Aviation in 2013 after 15 years as MD of Oxford Aviation Academy; bringing experience of leading: start-up, growth and product development of professional pilot training solutions in UK/Europe and international markets of Australasia, Middle East and the USA. He is also a professional pilot with airline and instructor experience. Anthony is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Chairman of the International Flight Crew Training Conference.
Peter joined CTC Aviation in May 2014 after completing over 40 years service with the Royal New Zealand Air Force, his final appointment being as the Chief of Air Force. Peter has a very strong background in senior leadership, as well as in aviation training. He is a past Board member of Aviation New Zealand, and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Julian joined CTC Aviation in 2008. Prior to this Julian worked in the airline and infrastructure services businesses in various roles involving general management, IT management and finance. Julian was named as a finalist for the Ernst & Young CFO of the Year Award in 2010.
Bryan joined CTC Aviation from Oxford Aviation Academy in January 2016. Prior to that Bryan spent the majority of his long career in aviation with British Airways, his final appointment being Director of Operations & Customer Service at BA CitiExpress. He was also a member of the Boards of both BA CitiExpress and BA Regional. In various consultancy roles Bryan has been the COO and CEO of two European airlines and specialised in starting new operations including OpenSkies.
Jacqui joined CTC Aviation in March 2015. The first female to enter pilot training with the Royal Air Force, she has over 20 years’ experience in ground training and industry development in Europe and Australasia. Instrumental in the modernisation of ab-initio training system, Jacqui is a member of the EASA Aircrew Training Advisory Group and Vice- chair of the EASA industry led learning objective task group.
Stephen joined CTC Aviation in 2006 after completing over 30 years with British Airways. During his time with BA, Stephen operated the full spectrum of airline operations from Short Haul Turbo prop to Long Haul Heavy Jet. He held a variety of training and management appointments.
Paul joined the Airline Training Management team at CTC Aviation Southampton in March 2013 after a career in the RAF flying fast jets and with Virgin Atlantic Airways as Training Captain on the Boeing 747. Throughout his flying career he has been involved in military and commercial pilot training, from ab initio to advanced level, and is currently an instructor / examiner on the Airbus A320. His current management role focusses on oversight of Advanced and Intermediate airline training at CTC Aviation - Southampton.
Carla joined CTC Aviation in February 2008 and has worked within the selection team in various operational and management roles. Carla has a background in recruitment services and selection design/delivery with large blue chip organisations. Her passion lies in client led resourcing and recruitment solutions.
Vicky joined CTC Aviation in August 2010 and has over 20 years’ experience in the HR profession, partnering with business leaders across a range of industries including telecoms, financial services, retail and for the past 6 years, Aviation. Vicky is Chartered MCIPD and leads our CTC Aviation HR team to deliver customer focused HR expertise and guidance to our managers and employees across our global training centres.
Steve joined CTC Aviation in late 2015 after completing more than 7 years as the Head of Training with Oxford Aviation Academy. Since leaving the Royal Air Force in 1997 Steve has gained a substantial level of experience of instructing and managing in the professional flight training environment and has also gained invaluable experience as a Captain flying the Dash8-Q400 with Flybe. Steve’s current role as the Head of Training sees him bringing together all these experience strands to enable him to oversee the EASA Ab-Initio training carried out by CTC Aviation.
Guy’s first contact with CTC Aviation was when he went through the ATP scheme in 1996, when he was placed with the then fledging Luton - based airline, easyJet. He was given the opportunity to join the training department shortly afterwards, and went on to become a Senior Examiner and Training Manager. Guy joined CTC in 2014, bringing with him both Boeing and Airbus experience.
Sarah joined CTC Aviation in 2008. She had previously worked in management roles for the past 20 years. Sarah brought her strategic and operational expertise to CTC Aviation and has built the core skills required for a successful team, always delivering customer focused success. Her current management role focuses on Strategic monitoring, planning and management of buildings, accommodation and transport. Sarah also oversees the customer experience of all trainees at our Hamilton Base. She is on the Professional Practices Committee of the Tertiary Education Accommodation Providers in New Zealand.
Michael joined CTC Aviation in 2011 after working as a Quality and Patient Safety Manager at a large public hospital. Michael has a strong management and compliance background and is a qualified ISO 9001lead auditor and root cause analysis investigator. Michael is also a full member of ISASI, The International Society of Air Safety Investigators
